I mostly do neither. Eating is one of those things that get pushed aside. I need to make a better habit of eating at least twice a day. I do manage to eat once a day. I eat last meal of the day, supper, with the family. I am not meaning that I don’t eat at all until supper time, what I am saying is that I don’t eat meals until then. A habit I developed while working as an accountant. I would eat a slice of bread before work to keep the stomach from aching. When lunch time came, I would be involved in work and avoid eating in order to complete the task. I usually ate an apple and called that lunch. Now that I am semi-retired, I do much better. I still forget to eat lunch, but mostly I eat breakfast. This is an important advancement.
I would not travel far for the purpose of eating. I have a well-stocked kitchen. If I am hungry, I will travel to the kitchen and make something to eat. Not much more that I can say about this; I am not excited about eating. At the most, I might have to travel to the grocery store to restock.
