I Already Sang that Song

My life is not a song.  It is not that well thought out and is anything but flowing and rhythmic.  I already posted that song.  (See: Keepin’ Up)  There never seems to be enough time and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.  I was active as a child and still am.  (See: Mostly We Played Outside)  I think my life is already splattered across my blog; listing it again with song titles seems unnecessary.  I do have a poem however:

DAWN

Born in the sunlight

Raise in the dark

Haunted by the shadows

Deep in my heart

The roads lay before me

Which shall I take

Oh, all of the choices

I cannot make

Dark road, I’ve been there

Save now that path ends

A glimmer of twilight

To me He doth send

Rise now my sunshine

For this moment I pray

If night be behind me

Let this be a long day

Darkness overshadowed the light for a time.  Three years after my first marriage ended, I realized that my life wasn’t going to get any better unless I do something with it.  An awakening of sorts.  Sadly, I do not recall what spirited the change, but I can guess.
